Dr. Ronald Baumgart
Owner & Chief Medical Practitioner
Dr. Ronald Baumgart is dedicated to the health and well-being of family pets at Faithful Friends Animal Hospital. Here, he brings his experience and specialized skill set to serve the dogs and cats and their human families of the Ave Maria, Florida community and the surrounding areas.
Dr Baumgart has been practicing veterinary medicine for 16 years. He owned and operated a practice in Indiana for 11 years before relocating to Florida to be closer to family. There, he worked for five years with VCA at VCA Chiquita Animal Hospital, VCA Miracle Mile Animal Hospital, and VCA Baywood Animal Hospital.
For three years, Dr. Baumgart served as the Medical Director at VCA Baywood. In 2021, he became certified to perform TPLO surgery for the treatment of cranial cruciate ligament injuries. He further expanded his expertise in 2023 by becoming a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner.
He, also, is certified in Global FAST, allowing him to perform abbreviated abdominal and thoracic ultrasounds, as well as abbreviated echocardiograms.
Dr. Baumgart is married and has three children. The family shares their home with four beloved pets: Versace and Louis Vuitton, their two Yorkies, and Purrsia and Catarina, their two Russian Blues.
